Training various skills in virtual reality (VR) is not only more accessible but also significantly easier and cheaper compared to traditional methods. VR offers a highly customizable environment that can be tailored to specific training needs, ensuring that each learner can practice in scenarios that are most relevant to them. Moreover, VR training is inherently safer, allowing individuals to engage in high-risk activities without any physical danger, thereby reducing the likelihood of accidents and injuries.
As an added benefit, custom VR training applications can be made to include the functionality of registering the users actions. This information can be used after the training to see how well the user has done, what areas should be improved or for any other analysis.
I have been a part of a team that has developed a few VR training applications, where I've done quite a lot of development myself. During the time within this team, I have acquired knowledge and development skills to successfully create meaningful training environments.
Below are the projects I've worked on.
